Pukka Athletic is a grassroots football initiative created to celebrate and support the people at the heart of the game.
Built on Pukka’s “For The People” brand platform and the brand’s longstanding connection to football, the campaign shone a spotlight on the volunteers, coaches, players and local communities who keep grassroots football alive across the UK.
As the sole Creative Lead and Director on the project, I took the client’s strategic platform and developed the creative approach, campaign narrative and content strategy around it. From concepting and scripting through to creative treatment, directing and overseeing delivery, I was responsible for bringing the Pukka Athletic initiative to life across the campaign.
The Hero
Social Assets
For the hero piece we filmed at League 2 side Walsall FC, and Grassroots teams WST LDN FC and Shepherds Booters. The aim of the content was an awareness piece for Pukka Athletic through a love letter to football. I was the writer and director of the content and oversaw pre and post production.
To support the hero content we created four editorial films that covered the teams we worked with to make the hero film.
Photography
Alongside directing the campaign content, I also shot photography for the Pukka Athletic x Art of Football lifestyle campaign, creating imagery used to promote the clothing range across social channels.
