To promote Just Eat’s sponsorship of EURO 2020 we were given a brief to create paid social ads to work alongside a TVC and various other activations. Content was created for Just Eat UK and Just Eat Global.

We worked with an exciting group of football legends: Eric Cantona, Fernando Torres, Gigi Buffon, Virgil Van Dijk and Lukas Podolski.

Cantona

For Just Eat UK we worked with Cantona to create a series of content pieces: a call to the nation, coming out of lockdown, to get excited for Euro 2020.

 

The Dynamic Content  

For the global sponsorship promotion we created a series of bespoke, game specific adverts that counted down to key matches in each market, from three days out.

Using Smartly, we produced localised assets at scale and ensured that our audience would experience bespoke creative for each game.

Each piece of creative would be localised to show relevant talent, archive footage, language and match details.


It ran in 11 different markets.

The Legends

Alongside the dynamic creative was the ‘Business As Usual’ activity. This content ran throughout the tournament with catch-all messaging, working when there was no relevant game countdown.

The content was made up of two pieces of creative that told the story of a football legend getting ready for their gameday takeaway.

It ran in 20 markets.
